Biographical Inormation and Selected Works

Dan Daley is an experienced journalist and author, covering the business and technology of the entertainment industry for over 17 years. His work has appeared in numerous publications, both trade and general interest, including Billboard, The New York Daily News, Mix Magazine, GRAMMY Magazine, American Way, Spin, History Channel, TravelHost, International Business, USA Today, ArchiTech, and many others.
His most recent book, “Nashville’s Unwritten Rules: Inside The Business of Country Music” (Overlook Press, New York, 2000) is in its second printing. He is also the composer of several hit records, including the multiplatinum-selling “Still In Saigon” (Charlie Daniels Band, 1982) and “Rain” (Johnny Winter, 1988),
and has previously worked as a record producer, audio engineer, recording studio owner and musician.
He maintains residences in New York City, Nashville and Miami.
